Later Patriotic Covers
J.C. Wilson & Co. also printed a series of patriotic envelopes, some of which also had lyrics of songs associated with the envelopes printed on the envelope backs. The designs used on the envelopes are fewer than those used on the company’s postcards, specifically lacking the earliest postcard designs, and the Old Glory design. Covers are numbered by a similar numbering scheme to Mike Smith’s postcard numbering scheme, but use the letter “E” (for Envelope) rather than ”P” (for Postcard).
